Features

Six modules. One system of record.

Chamberzu isn't a suite of products that were acquired and bolted together. Membership, events, billing, the directory, the member portal, and reporting were designed against the same data model, which is why a payment shows up on a member record without anyone syncing anything.

Membership

Member CRM

One record per member business, with every contact, payment, event, and conversation attached to it.

Most chamber software treats a member like a row in a mailing list. Chamberzu treats it like what it actually is — an organization with multiple people, a dues history, a tier, a renewal date, and years of engagement behind it. Open a member and you see the whole relationship without opening a second tab.

Organizations and contacts, modeled properly

Member businesses are the record. Contacts belong to them, with roles like primary billing, voting delegate, or newsletter recipient. When someone changes jobs, you move the contact — you don't rebuild the member.

Membership tiers and dues schedules

Define your own tiers with their own dues amounts, benefits, and renewal cadence. Flat rate, employee-count bands, or custom quotes — the tier drives the invoice automatically.

Engagement history on every record

Events attended, invoices paid, emails opened, directory profile updates, portal logins. When a board member asks "are they getting value?", the answer is on the screen.

Lapsed, prospective, and dropped states

A member isn't just active or gone. Track prospects in your pipeline, members in a grace period, and lapsed members you're trying to win back — each with its own follow-up automation.

Custom fields that survive upgrades

Track the things specific to your chamber — committee membership, sponsorship level, ambassador assignment — without a consultant and without breaking on the next release.

Notes, tasks, and owner assignment

Log a call, assign a follow-up, and hand a relationship to another staff member. Nothing important lives only in one person's inbox.

Events

Events & Ticketing

From a ten-person coffee meetup to a 500-seat gala — registration, payment, check-in, and revenue in one flow.

Events are where chambers create most of their visible value and a meaningful share of their revenue. They're also where the most manual work hides: chasing RSVPs, reconciling a payment processor against a spreadsheet, printing name badges the night before. Chamberzu closes that loop end to end.

Public registration pages that look like yours

Every event gets a shareable page with your branding, agenda, location, and ticket options. It's indexed by search engines, so your events show up when people search for them.

Member and non-member pricing

Set a member rate, a non-member rate, and early-bird windows. The platform knows who's logged in and prices the ticket correctly — no promo codes to leak.

Sponsorships and table sales

Sell sponsor packages and multi-seat tables alongside individual tickets. Sponsors get their logo on the event page and their attendees seated together.

Check-in from any device

Open the attendee list on a phone or tablet at the door, search a name, tap to check in. Walk-ups can register and pay on the spot.

Waitlists and capacity control

Cap an event, open a waitlist automatically, and promote people as spots free up. Nobody has to watch the inbox.

Post-event revenue reporting

Registrations, no-shows, ticket revenue, sponsor revenue, and cost per attendee — computed the moment the event ends, ready for the board packet.

Revenue

Billing & Payments

Automated dues invoicing, online payment, and renewal sequences that collect the money you've already earned.

Chambers lose real revenue to process, not to churn — an invoice that went out late, a renewal nobody followed up on, a check that sat in a drawer. Billing in Chamberzu runs on a schedule, chases itself, and reconciles without a spreadsheet in the middle.

Dues invoicing on autopilot

Invoices generate from the member's tier and anniversary date, send themselves, and post to the member's record. Annual, quarterly, or monthly — your call, per tier.

Online payment by card or ACH

Members pay from the invoice email or the member portal. Payments reconcile against the invoice automatically. Processing runs on Stripe at standard rates that go to Stripe, not to us.

Renewal sequences that actually follow up

Configure the reminder cadence — 60 days out, 30, 7, day-of, then past-due. Each one stops the moment payment lands, and escalates to a staff task if it doesn't.

Payment plans and partial payments

Let a large member split annual dues across quarters, or record a partial check against an open invoice without breaking the balance.

Offline payments recorded cleanly

Checks and cash still exist. Record them against the invoice in two clicks and the member's history stays accurate and auditable.

Accounting-ready exports

Export invoices, payments, and receivables in formats your bookkeeper or QuickBooks import expects — with the fields your auditor asks for.

Visibility

Member Directory

A fast, searchable public directory that gives members a reason to renew and gives your chamber SEO you don't have to maintain.

"What do I actually get for my dues?" is the hardest question a membership director answers. A directory listing that ranks in search, sends real referral traffic, and is never out of date is one of the few answers that speaks for itself.

Search and filter that returns results instantly

Filter by industry, tier, or location and search by name — all client-side, so results appear as fast as people can type.

Rich member profiles

Logo, tagline, description, website, phone, address, hours, social links, and primary contact. Members edit their own profile through the portal; you approve changes if you want to.

Featured and tier-based placement

Higher tiers surface first and get a featured badge. It's a benefit that costs your staff nothing and gives your sales conversation an obvious upgrade path.

Structured data for search engines

Every profile publishes LocalBusiness schema, so member listings are eligible for rich results in Google. Your directory becomes an SEO asset for the whole membership.

Always current, never a PDF

The directory is generated from live member data. A member who lapses drops off. A member who updates their address updates the listing. Nobody re-exports anything.

Embeddable on your existing website

Already have a WordPress or Squarespace site you like? Publish the directory as a static section or embed it — you don't have to migrate your whole web presence to get this.

Self-service

Member Portal

A login for member businesses so they can pay, register, and update their own information — without calling your office.

Every phone call that starts with "can you send me my invoice again" is a minute of staff time spent on something the member would happily do themselves at 9pm. The portal is the single highest-leverage feature for a two-person chamber office.

The member portal dashboard a member business sees: membership status, open invoices with a total owed, and upcoming events.

Pay open invoices online

Members see what they owe, what they've paid, and can settle a balance by card or ACH in under a minute. Receipts are automatic.

Manage their own directory profile

Members update their description, logo, contact info, and hours. Optional staff approval keeps you in control of what publishes.

Register for events and manage seats

Register themselves, add colleagues, and see what they're already signed up for. Their attendance history lives on their member record.

Manage their own contacts

Members add and remove their own employees, set who receives billing notices, and keep your CRM accurate without you touching it.

Download receipts and statements

A year-end statement for their accountant, on demand, without an email to your office.

Single sign-on ready

Enterprise plans support SSO so larger member organizations can use their existing identity provider.

Proof

Reporting & Analytics

The dashboards your board asks for, generated from live data instead of assembled the weekend before the meeting.

Executive directors are asked to justify the chamber's existence on a recurring basis — to a board, to a city council, to members deciding whether to renew. The numbers that answer that question already exist inside your operations. Chamberzu just stops making you assemble them by hand.

The Chamberzu executive dashboard: active members, revenue this month, outstanding balance and upcoming events, with recent invoices and an event list.

Live executive dashboard

Active members, net growth, renewal rate, dues collected, receivables outstanding, event attendance, and revenue — current as of right now.

Board-ready reports in one click

Generate a formatted PDF with membership trends, revenue by source, and event performance for any date range. Same numbers every time, no hand-assembly.

Retention and churn analysis

Renewal rate by tier, by industry, and by tenure. See which segments are slipping while you can still do something about it.

Revenue by source

Dues, events, sponsorships, and other income broken out and trended — so budget conversations start from data instead of memory.

Engagement scoring

Rank members by how much they actually use their membership. Low-engagement members are your churn risk list; high-engagement members are your testimonial and ambassador list.

Scheduled email digests

A weekly operating summary to staff and a monthly summary to the board, sent automatically. Nobody has to remember.

The math

What this replaces.

Most chambers arrive with four to seven tools that partially overlap. Here is the stack Chamberzu is designed to collapse — and what you stop paying for in subscriptions and in staff hours.
